Southwest Florida Businessman Launches "Just Look Up" Christian Advertising Campaign and Web Site
Fort Myers, FL (PRWEB) August 12, 2008 -- Just look up. That's the simple message behind a million-dollar-plus Christian advertising campaign that is reaching into homes of residents of Southwest Florida from Sarasota to Naples. What makes the campaign unique, other than its message of hope, is that it is not funded by any church or religious organization, but rather by one local businessman.
Just Look Up is comprised of a series of six commercials that are airing 30,000 times from May through December on the major television networks and cable networks throughout Southwest Florida, reaching 99.5 percent of all households in the Fort Myers/Naples DMA. The commercials direct viewers to a Web site, http://www.justlookup.org, where they can view the commercials again, request a free Bible, ask for prayer or find a church.
Anthony Leeber, Sr., who owns the successful home remodeling company Cornerstone Kitchens, is financing the campaign, spending more than $600,000 to date -- money that would have otherwise been used to advertise his business.
Leeber stopped all advertising for Cornerstone Kitchens in March in order to focus efforts on Just Look Up. The business owner has never advertised for employees, relying on God to bring him the right people. After a conversation with one of his daughters, he decided to trust in God to bring him customers as well. The money, he felt, could be better used to spread the Gospel.
"The need for Jesus in people's lives has never been greater than it is now," Leeber says. "Many people in Southwest Florida have been hit hard by the collapse of the housing market, the faltering economy and job loss. I want people to know that no matter how bad your problems are, or what they are, God is always there for you if you just put your faith in him."
Since Leeber launched the campaign and Web site in May, with the help of the Christian-owned advertising agency Priority Marketing, more than 6,300 visitors from 23 countries have visited the Web site. Leeber and the Just Look Up team have fulfilled 330 requests for Bibles and received 312 prayer requests, which are distributed via email to a large prayer chain.
The response from other Christian business leaders also has been positive, with some wanting to launch the campaign, or something similar, in their locale. Leeber is now considering how he might expand the campaign outside of Southwest Florida.
Just Look Up is a not-for-profit Christian outreach ministry based in Fort Myers, Fla. Anthony Leeber, Sr., owner of Cornerstone Kitchens, launched Just Look Up in May 2008. For more information, visit http://www.justlookup.org.

The Cast of Culture in South Africa
Drive along one of South Africa's scenic strips and you will notice a landscape composed of a backdrop of wide open spaces, blue mountains and blood-red sunsets. These scenes abound, but given the nature of the culture in South Africa, your attention could swiftly switch to a small boy gallantly escorting herds of cattle, end to end, over a rainbow-like walkway crossing one of the largest and busiest highways in South Africa.
